Today we were a bit discombobulated. Some sadness, some embarrassment, and some neediness. None of which is a bad thing, it just throws us off track while we take care of what is important – the kids and how they are feeling.
Baker dictated his book to me, and we read it at circle. Nice job! Only a few left to go. I will be writing and reading your child’s book when you parent help, if all goes as planned. Our Authors’ Tea to celebrate all of these amazing authors will be on May 9th at 12:00.
While I was working with Baker, many of the kids were with James making green houses. They planted sugar snap peas in a small sandwich bag filled with dirt and some water. They are now hanging in the windows. Make a big deal about checking these out when you drop off or pick up. The kids get very excited when they start to see roots growing.
I had shaving cream on the sensory table which many kids dove right in to while others watched from a far. It is a fun medium to work with and is easy clean up. Try it in the bath tub!
At the water table it was the last day to practice brushing extra large teeth. We had lots of toothpaste and many brushes giving everyone a chance to check this out.
My thanks to James and Amber for all of their help today!
